Hi
I m having one HP laptop with vista.It gives the message" YOUR COMPUTER
DOES NOT HAVE THE REQUIRED AUDIO COMPRESSION FORMAT" .Can any one help please?

If you state exactly what type of audio file you are attempting to play,
someone may be able to recommend a codec that will enable it to be played.

In lieu of that, there are code packs available for free via the Net.
One popular package is K-Lite. Try the
STANDARD version. If it does nothing to help, it can be uninstalled.

Most codec packs foul up systems. Here's a list of problems I personally
verified:

It's possible I'm missing some or missing some new/old problems - that's
just a starting point, and explains why codec packs are so frightening and
generally bad.
