using MMC to remote administrating another PC

there are 2 PCs running Vista ultimate 32bit

when I try to use MMC on either PC to remote connect to the other one, it
says access denied

two PCs have the identical Account setting ( acct name and password, and
they are in administrators)

configured inbound rule for the PC recieving connection in firewall

is it the UAC thing preventing me to doing the job?

Sounds more like a credentials issue, than a UAC one. Try it using the
built-in admin's credentials, rather than those of an 'administrator'
account.

You may have to make this registry change.

Be sure to create a System Restore point before doing this. Editing the
registry could cause problems.
