get the scanner installed with the Vista OS. As I said in the earlier
post--it wasn't easy. I did a number of installs/uninstalls. Went to
Device Manager, found and deleted the scanner several times. Installed the
Twain Vista Driver and eventually managed to install Smart Panel (Original
CD's) and its upgrade with no problem. As noted, the scanner now works as
it did under ME except for the Copy function upgrade. When I have some time
(and frustration level is low) I'll give it another try--BTW, my scanner
also is a flatbed with slide and negative scan capability. If you are
persistent, one of your tries will work--
