Activation after installing a Raid ARAY

Well, I install a Raid ARRAY on my system and get activate windows message. I
go to activate and the screen tells me to call a number and get a
confirmation ID so I do so.. well the confirmation ID number does not work so
they tell me to call tech support and provide me with the number . I speak
with the guy at tech support he then continues to tell me I need to pay 59.96
for him to fix this problem. Im say Are you kidding me! You mean to tell me
this copy of windows VISTA I paid CASH for is basically useless because I
decided to add a hard drive and put it in raid! For god's sake's Im using the
same mother board, processor, video card, ram, and 1 of the 2 hard drives I
had, before I put the raid in If that is not enough confirmation there is
something seriously wrong. Any how how do I fix this problem. so I don't have
to go buy a new copy that I already paid for, to use on the same computer?
Yes Microsoft you really need to do something about activation for Pc
enthusiasts that enjoy building their machines and pay for software to work.

Re: Activation after installing a Raid ARAY

You can activate Vista by performing the following:

1. Click on the Start button and in the Start Search box type in: slui.exe 4
2. Press the Enter key on your keyboard.
3. Select your Country.
4. Follow the instructions for phone activation.
5. Once completed, restart your computer.
6. Then visit http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/ and click "Validate Windows"
and restart your computer.

Re: Activation after installing a Raid ARAY

The problem is the confirmation Id they give me will not go through, then
they tell me call this number 800-642-7676. so I call it then they tell me
they want to charge me 59.95$ to fix the so called problem. the problem is on
Microsoft's end not with my CD key. The problem is my system does not match,
because I installed another hard drive and put in a Raid Array and now the
validation system says the installation is not valid.
