Computer fails to connect to network after installling Vista updat

I twice installed the most recent 7 important/recommended Vista updates, and
twice the PC then failed to connect to LAN when restarted. I had to do a

Re: Computer fails to connect to network after installling Vista updat

In many cases, the simplest way is to remove the NIC from device manager and
allow it to be redetected and reinstalled.
If that doesn't work, post back with more information.
