ANY software that will not allow the OS to update and replace system files ** IS a joke ** in my opinion. That is *specifically* how malware operates. A hardware firewall plus the native Windows firewall provides sufficient protection and will not hamper the OS nor it's ability to be updated. Case, closed. Next ! You have a choice to disable Defense+ when you setup the firewall. If it was malware, do you think you would have a choice?
