Document previews

When viewing files in Documents, should the file icon display a preview of
the files contents. I've tried this with .txt and .rtf but it doesnt seem to
work

OK, part way to solving this problem.

Previews seem to appear OK in every folder other than Documents. Is this a
bug or the norm?
