Does it give any indication in English of what the problem might be like
"sector not found on disk" or something?

Re: 0x8007001b

I have the same problem with my HP laptop running vista home premium. I keep getting the error message:

Backup did not complete successfully.
The drive cannot find the sector requested. (0x8007001B)

The D drive says it is nearly full, (642 MB avail out of 6.61 GB) but when I open it to view files, it shows nothing.

Can anyone help me?
Thank you.

Re: 0x8007001b

The D drive is usually the Factory Image drive and you should not be backing
up to it. The files on it may be hidden which would explain why you can't
see them.
