Paint problem-the draw function, draws ~1cm up and to the left of pencil nib(same prob with other functions)

when I user the draw, paint, sample, and other functions, the paint
program(vista) uses a pixel about 1cm up and to the left of the nib(or
what ever) to draw on.

funnily, when I went to test it, just as I was writing this post, it
was working properly(for the first time), but it went back to it's old
bug after a while.

Is there a solution to this?
Am I the only one to experience this?

There's always ctrl-Z if you put a pixel in the wrong place.

Dear Mudnox,
I had the same problem. Your vidoe driver needs to be re-installed. My
computer is a Dell and when they did this, the pointer worked fine.

thanks Ocalalou,

I have a dell too.

I found a free downloadable paintshop

'Paint.NET - Free Software for Digital Photo Editing'

which is much better, anyway.

It seems to be connected with Microsoft.
I don't know why it doesn't come with Vista.
