| | Failure w/ Vista laptop using Remote Desktop Connection To XP comp I am trying to configure my laptop to be able to work on an office computer. I was able to do this with my home desktop without a problem because both of those computers were using Windows XP. I have installed the VPN on the Vista laptop & I can connect without a problem. However, when I lauch Remote Desktop Connection and I log in I get the following error message: "The remote desktop cannot verify the identity of the computer you want to connect to. This problem can occur if: 1. The remote comkputere is running a version of windows that is earlier than Windows Vista. 2. The Remote computer is configured to support only the RDP security layer." Does this mean that it is IMPOSSIBLE for a Vista computer to do a remote connection to an XP Computer? |

| | RE: Failure w/ Vista laptop using Remote Desktop Connection To XP comp This does not mean that it will not work it just means that you need to click "Yes" in the connect anyway box.
