No Auto Sleep - Manual Sleep OK

I've fixed the PC so it will Sleep without waking up seconds later (it was
the USB keyboard & mouse waking it). My new problem is that when left alone
it will not sleep, but a manual sleep works. I've checked the Balanced Plan,
it is set to sleep after 30 minutes. What else can I do?

Re: No Auto Sleep - Manual Sleep OK

Control Panel>>System and Maintenance>>Power Options>>Change When the
Computer Sleeps (in The left pane). Set up the option of minutes from NEVER.

Re: No Auto Sleep - Manual Sleep OK

Drill down into the advanced settings and make sure you set the conditions
you want to cause sleep.

I'm not sure what you mean. Under "Sleep after", I have just time options.
Are you suggesting there are converse rules, such as No intervention: Sleep?

Re: No Auto Sleep - Manual Sleep OK

Not sure where you came up with your question, but you should try to set to
1 min. If it won't go to sleep if untouched for a couple of minutes, go
into the other options and see if anything is set that would interfere with
the sleep.

There isn't.

Anyone else got a suggestion?

Re: No Auto Sleep - Manual Sleep OK

If you have Microsoft wireless mouse it may NEVER go to sleep. One of my
machines does it. There is a hotfix somewhere at MS websites but I have no
time now to do search--my wife is calling me out for dinner.
