| | Vista from raid to IDE without reinstall? Hey all. I just reinstalled Vista today, as the HDD cam in finally. I have a problem though. When I installed vista I wasnted ahci so I enabled the RAID switch in the Dell Inspiron 530 bios. Vista installed fine and I didn't make it a raid partition. I thought there was an easy way to switch the XP install over, but I was wrong. So, every time I boot, I have to go into the bios and switch it so that I can boot one system or the other. Since I can't get XP to change, is there any way to get Vista to? I'm just getting tired of going into the bios every time I want to dual boot. I could make a slipstream disk, and reinstall XP, but both OSs work, and each is installed in it's own drive, and it would be a pain. As always, any help is appreciated. Curt |
