| Guest | Re: WORD 2007 Hello Michael, Have done that and checked the box, applied and o.k.d it and then went in to it again to see if the setting had held at that, and it has. I will now go into one of my Word documents. (One that I know won't let me shut down when I have performed two or three particular tasks on it) Will let you know how I get on. Thank you for your time - Susan. | Guest | Re: WORD 2007 Susan, You're welcome. I wish we could get this fixed. I'm almost out of ideas. Go into "All Programs" in the Start Menu. Find the Microsoft Office folder. Then look in the Microsoft Tools folder for "Microsoft Office Diagnostics" Run it and see what it does. The only other option is to try and reinstall Office. I'll be out the rest of the day, post back and let me know what happens. I will check back later. Oh, are these newly created documents? Or, did you import them from another computer or a disc, maybe? Is this on a clean install of Vista or an Upgrade install? Clean install of Office or an upgrade from Office 2003? Take care, Michael "Susan" <Susan@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:FAA9ED6D-132B-4EF6-BC50-03549A3E8451@xxxxxx Quote: > > Michael, > > Have just opened my files and all I get now on each one is a blue blank > screen, so have gone right back and unchecked the box, it's the only way I > know to get back into my files. > > Thanks Again - Susan, > > "Susan" wrote: > Quote: >> Hello Michael, >> >> Have done that and checked the box, applied and o.k.d it and then went in to >> it again to see if the setting had held at that, and it has. | Guest | Re: WORD 2007 Hello Again Michael, I have done the diagnotic test that you suggested and there are no problems showing up at all with that. The files in question have been imported from my X.P. computer to my Vista computer. My Vista computer is new and came with the Vista programme ready installed. It's interesting to note that I have had no problem closing the programme after editing text when I have been dealing with common or garden text. It's when I use the Word Art! The problem occurs with the same paragraphs of text each time. Strangely when I am editing SMALL text and have used the Shape fill and Shape outline, the programme will then not Close down or Save. Anyway I'm off to bed now. It's bedtime here in the U.K. Thanks for your help - Susan. "MICHAEL" wrote: Quote: > Susan, > > You're welcome.
