| | Windows Media Player rearranges desktop icons when restored from taskbar When I use Windows Media Player (11.0.6000.6324) and minimize its window, as soon as I click on its taskbar shortcut, the taskbar increases in height by a few millimeters, my desktop icons get shuffled, and the WMP window restores to its pre-minimized size and position. When I exit WMP, the taskbar returns to its original height and the desktop icons shuffle again, but not to their original positions. If I use IconRestore at any time while WMP is still open, some of the desktop icons move but not to their correct positions. Only after WMP is closed and I run IconRestore are they returned almost to their original positions; I usually have to reposition one or two. I've read previous related posts in this group and on the web but can find no solution. I'm using Vista Home Basic on a Dell system that came with it installed. Suggestions? Larry |
