| | Vista64 home premium I experienced a lot of problems with Vista32, so I decided to load Vista64 (Home Premium). No problems with installation, nor drivers. However one of my crucial programmes generates a Microsoft error saying that this programme will not run under Vista64. Contact the developers. I did and they said their programme won't run on Vista64. This is an unsatisfactory response from them. So I decided to install Microsoft Virtual PC 2007(64 bit), only to find that Home Premium was not supported by Microsoft for Virtual PC. Not to worry, I would use the upgrade I had seen in Control Panel. I tried to upgrade my Vista, only to be told that this option is not available in Australia. Microsoft also said to just go out and buy a different version at a retail outlet. I am trying to not get too angry, but for Heaven's sake Microsoft, this is terrible. Regards Doug |

| | Re: Vista64 home premium Although Virtual PC is not "supported" on Vista Home Premium, it will run just fine. | | Re: Vista64 home premium It has always been supported on the Vista Home Premium, its just the EULA that forbids it, since you won't get any technical support under that operating system if you were to call Microsoft. -- Andre Blog: http://adacosta.spaces.live.com My Vista Quickstart Guide: http://adacosta.spaces.live.com/blog...3DB!9709.entry "The Old Bloke" <lee0pard32@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:13p8rva7um5au2f@xxxxxx Quote: > Hi Gary, > > I took your word, and despite repeated warning that it is not supported it > is now running very well. > > Thank you Gary > > Doug > "Gary Mount" <gary_mount@xxxxxx> wrote in message > news:9BB3FECC-1C92-4E41-AE77-FAA4AE1EC650@xxxxxx Quote: >> Although Virtual PC is not "supported" on Vista Home Premium, it will run >> just fine. >> >> >> "The Old Bloke" <lee0pard32@xxxxxx> wrote in message >> news:13p6b46p955ah10@xxxxxx Quote: >>> I experienced a lot of problems with Vista32, so I decided to load >>> Vista64 (Home Premium).
