"Hostprocess for Windows Services does not work anymore and is clo

Before this message kept showing up, I had been installing several things at
about the same time. Maybe this information will help. I am only at beginners
level. I installed (for Windows Vista) Real Player, Microsoft Comfort Optical
Mouse 3000 and I added a HP Scanjet 2400 (flatbed scanner) where I already
have a HP Photosmart 2575. Personally I have the idea the adding of the
Scanjet migh have caused the problem with the Hostprocess, because I have had
(other) difficulties before when I tried to install the Scanjet 2400 where I
already had the Photosmart installed. Some three weeks ago I received a
security update from HP, but it did not install well and I decided to set my
PC back to the point before the update became installed. I have had my set of
problems with HP before. The same question like mine about the stopped
Hostprocess of 12 January from another person also mentioned HP. Thank you,
also beforehand.
