| | Vista public build 5384, nerds build 5472 Vista public build 5384, nerds build 5472 5384, ......., 5472 ? What happened to all the numbers in-between ? Why don't MS programmers just use consective numbers, when they let bulids lose on the nerds or public ? Are the missing numbers only used in-house for the different programming teams ? |

| | Re: Vista public build 5384, nerds build 5472 Grumpy, The way builds work are numbered in consecutive numbers. Just that they don't release consecutive builds to the public. A build is done and tested internally around the clock. Hope that helps, Mario "Grumpy" <Grumpy@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:EFF4AD8E-95E2-4C75-8ED1-67FDBAB9F030@microsoft.com... > Vista public build 5384, nerds build 5472 > > 5384, ......., 5472 ? > > What happened to all the numbers in-between ? > > Why don't MS programmers just use consective numbers, > > when they let bulids lose on the nerds or public ? > > Are the missing numbers only used in-house for the > different programming teams ? |

| | Re: Vista public build 5384, nerds build 5472 They are EDW builds and are mostly internal at MS. MS does a new build overnight on most nights. | | Re: Vista public build 5384, nerds build 5472 we need a desperate update of 5472 ASAP. can not run any admin controls. They certainally must have been on Summer Break when they tested this build! | | Re: Vista public build 5384, nerds build 5472 Why the desperation? You're just trying it out. It's not like you were using it for any productive work. | | RE: Vista public build 5384, nerds build 5472 Oh it's just annoying to have to go back and forth between admin and the other acct...it's all ok...the only way to really test it is to use it on the things I access daily though. Better to find out these things now.... | | Re: Vista public build 5384, nerds build 5472 The unsung heros at MS are the all night teams of busy little over night programmers, you all are keeping the coffee industry profitable, well done boys and girls. You all make Santas elf's proud. "Colin Barnhorst" wrote: > They are EDW builds and are mostly internal at MS.
