Windows Vista Recovery Disc

I have seen this download offered at
http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/window...disc-download/
What I would like to know is, is this legit and aproved by microsoft or
something to be avoided
I made a dvd when I first got my machine so hopefully I will never need this
but if it is legit I would keep it just in case the worst happen and my dvd
is duff

Re: Windows Vista Recovery Disc

It arose my interest. I checked the site.

I may be wrong since I am always on the far side of caution to have been
burned many a time but my strictly personal decision was "Not to touch it."

I checked MS sites. I queried it for "Windows Vista Recovery Disk." Nothing
came up exactly of this nature. it does not mean that the case is closed but
I have no interest of any further exploration after two-three pages of
links.

Below is the hub of MS backup teach-in
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pro...ls/backup.mspx

You can take it from there. Query it for other subjects if you wish.

Re: Windows Vista Recovery Disc

This is a completely legit thing. This was created with a Vista SP1 build
that allowed for creation of the Vista Recovery Disc ISO. This was created
since most newer PC's and laptop's sold do not offer anything like this.
You can create something like this from the Recovery Partition but in order
to do so you haev to call tech support since each manufacturer is different.

I have personally downloaded this file and tested it. It is exactly what it
is said to be and does exactly what Computer Guru says it does. On another
note I know this is legit since I happen to be a person who is active on the
forums there to help people who want to multi boot their systems.

It is known and there has been no contact from Microsoft about this to us.
So I would have to say it is completely legit. As there has been no cease
orders sent to us.
