Aero Glass effects on Taskbar and Start Menu...

Is it possible to change the default (dark) black colour of the taskbar and
start menu without using a 3rd party application?

I just assumed that when you chose a colour and transparency effect that the
change would not just affect window borders.

I know the transparency affects TB and SM but if I choose any colour from
the selection TB and SM still remain a shade of black...

    Have I missed something somewhere?

    Hi,

Nope, you didn't miss anything. Those sections are not customizable without
the use of a third party product.

    Hi Fumanchu,

Although you can't do much about the Start Menu, I find that the colour of
the Taskbar can change quite dramatically if you use a different Desktop
background. Choose a picture with similar colours (at the bottom of it) to
your Aero colour scheme for best effect.

Ok, Thanks guys... just strikes me as a bit odd that this function is not a
part of the overall Aero Glass feature.

Hmm... forgot to mention I use Vista Ultimate 32bit.
