| | HELP WITH 2 DISPLAYS I recently aquired a second display for my box that I just finished. Everything runs fine except for one little tiny hitch. I can see minimized windows.... it's a little more complicated than that, so here goes. I can see everything fine in maximized (fullscreen) mode. But, and this only happens for a few programs for some reason, when I switch the application into windowed mode, it moves outside of my display area. For instance... Windows Media Center (I use it for TV). It works fine in fullscreen, but when I take it into windowed mode to say... switch monitors, it teleports somewhere up on the right top side of my screen into an area I can't reach with the mouse or anything. I can't even see the trailing edges of the application, it just moves outside of the mouse's range. And when I try to move it using the move feature on the taskbar, my mouse can't reach the program so I can't move it. Also, when I tile the windows, the application window won't show up even though it's still in the taskbar! Help? |

ALT+SPACEBAR to open the window dropdown menu 3. Press the M key to select the MOVE command 4. Use the ARROW KEYS to relocate the window 5. Press the ENTER key when you have the Window in the desired location. Just FYI if you are running dual monitors you might want to give UltraMon a try they have a free trial version it's very handy utlility for Multiple Monitors. www.ultramon.com Hope this helps -- The most reliable time to upgrade to a new Operating System is at the end of its life cycle. Just to make what has been said already a bit clearer: Immediately after choosing Move on the Task Bar, use the cursor keys, without touching the mouse. Once you have pressed a cursor key at least once, you can then use the mouse to move the window as well. ss. |
