Running Two Sets Of Speakers

Hi there

I have Vista on my HP pc and have added a set of wireless speakers so
that I can hear music in other rooms in the house.

No problems with the speakers but when they are working I cannot hear
anything out of the pc speakers.

I have looked in CPanel but only seem to be able to set one device at a
time.

Any suggestions?

Re: Running Two Sets Of Speakers

Go to radio shack and Buy a Splitter.
One Male mini plug stereo to 2 Female stereo
Plug both into the same source

Re: Running Two Sets Of Speakers

The wireless speakers are USB, is there a splitter that takes a
combination of ordinary speakers and USB???

Re: Running Two Sets Of Speakers

So I'm guessing that the wireless speakers use a different
source to get sound. Seeing how your pc's soundcard outputs
only through the ports on the PC.

MY guess would be that you can't get both on at the same time
because the usb is it's own sound card and only one can be chosen
at a time.

Re: Running Two Sets Of Speakers

Thanks for this. I donīt think it will work because

One device is USB

The other plugs into the speaker ports.

Vista only appears to let you select one device at a time.
