vista activation

Hello,

I'm encountering abit of problem with my activation for the first time since
I got my vista business edition almost a year back.

I just recently reinstalled vista again after getting my hard disk which
died 3 weeks ago, back from the manufacturor. Unfortunately I cannot activate
Vista, as I'm receiving the error 'the product type key is already in used'.

Is it possible Microsoft detects the key is still in 'activation' thus the
reason I can't reactivate it? I'm very confident the key has been kept
securely so I've no reason to believe someone else is using my key.

Thanks in advance for the replies

Hi Clara,

You will just need to do a phone activation to get your Vista activated again. It still thinks the product key is being used on the other hard drive. That's all. This will show you how to do a phone activation.

RE: vista activation

It is already in use, by you.

When you try to activate, take the phone option, and wait on for a real
person.
10-15 minutes.
