Vista - where is the undo/edit commands on vista word and XL

is it me or is VISTA's simplication complex

If you can't find the Undo command, you can always use the ages old standard keyboard shortcut, <CTRL>+<Z>.

But for your reference, here's a partial screenshot:

Word and Excel don't have anything to do with Vista's complexity.
I don't have Office 2007, so I don't know if the undo has changed...
In Word 2003, the Undo is found under Edit, on the toolbar, or you can hit
Ctrl-Z
And in Excel, oddly, they are found in the same place.
