How do I burn DATA in vista without NERO?

I think Vista supports DVD burning now but how do I do this without
installing nero?

Well, you just don't install Nero, as, as you say, Vista now supports DVD
burning, natively.

Re: How do I burn DATA in vista without NERO?

Vista's DVD burning is slow as molasses as it creates an image file first
before starting the burn. Not having any patience I didn't dig too deep to
find a way to alter that but found several freeware alternative DVD buring
programs.
Ashampoo Burning Studio 6.5 has a free version. As well there are Image
Burn, InfraRecorder and Starburn. Probably some others as well. Starburn
looked promising but didn't support my burner.

Re: How do I burn DATA in vista without NERO?

I use "Burn4free" it works fine, and its free. It does however install a
toolbar, but this is uninstallable on its own without affecting the program
