| | Folders: If It Ain't Broke, DON'T FIX IT!! When viewing folders in XP, I could set up the folder parameters I liked to view (Name, Type, Size, Date Modified) and then tell the system I want to see that with ALL the folders. Now with Vista, you have the INANITY of folders types to struggle with, and when I insist that ALL folders be changed to show these, it is now "folders of this type." Why would Microsoft continue to f--k with an operating environment that is reasonably not broken, but make it even more broken??? Is it to dare the user to install Linux?? |

Method Two will show you how to keep the folder templates to "All Items" and have Vista remember how you set them instead of Vista assigning a template automatically for you. Windows Explorer Folder View settings This will show you how to change the folder templates manually afterwards: Windows Explorer - Folder Type Templates and Column - Customize Shawn |
