| | Transferring Email Messages on Easy Transfer My old computer is XP Home SP2. My new computer is Vista Home Premium 64 bit. I used Windows Easy Transfer to successfully move all of my files and folders over a home wireless g network to the new comuter. The only problem is that the email messages that were in my Outlook Express inbox on the old computer did not move to Microsoft Mail on the new computer. I took a closer look at Easy Transfer and it seems to indicate that this should happen, but when going through the Easy Transfer process I did not see an entry that I was supposed to make that would enable the transfer of email messages. How do you transfer email messages in your inbox using Windows Easy Transfer? |

| | RE: Transferring Email Messages on Easy Transfer Hi Ken, I'm not sure how to transfer them with Easy transfer but you can use the "Import" function of windows mail to do it. Copy the MAIL folder from XP to your computer then Import to Windows Mail. When in the Import Wizzard, it will ask you to provide the location of the Mail folder. Only go to the folder itself. If you open it in the Wizzard, it will say none found or some language to that effect. -- Paul "Ken Triebold" wrote: Quote: > My old computer is XP Home SP2.
