turn off "auto-save" in windows photo gallery????

Windows Photo Gallery seems to "auto-save" changes to photos. It does so
without prompting. This is a problem for me as it saves changes to my
pictures--even if I just rotate them. I am then unable to view pictures on
my camera. Does anyone know how to find preferences and turn this feature
off?

Hi Kimberly,

There is no means of disabling that behavior, and I don't disagree that it's
annoying. You would need to use a different program to manipulate the
photos, or move them off the camera media first.

Re: turn off "auto-save" in windows photo gallery????

That option is not available in WPG.

You can do that and A LOT more with the free Paint.NET image and photo
editing software.
