| Vista Home Premuim 32 bit | Suspect Windows Update Service is corrupt Back in the October time frame Windows update hung my system. From that point on updates have not taken place. I see that the Windows Update Service is not start. It is configures to start automatically delayed. I have started it, change to configuration to start automatically, etc. but no matter what configuration I will stop when I attempt to use Windows Update. Does anyone know of a way to recreate or reinstall the Windows Update Services? Will it require a reinstall? Any other work aground? Appreciate any suggestions. |

| Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: Suspect Windows Update Service is corrupt I had the same issue, and tried all troubleshooting tips. To make a long story short, a previous update pack was corrupt. Back up your system and re-install Vista, you will save yourself alot of grief! |
