Corrupted registry

Hello,
during uninstallation of Cisco VPN Client on Windows Vista Home Premium I got a blackout and therefore the uninstallation was incomplete. I tried the manual uninstall but I failed ad removing a few registry keys, so I suspect registry to be a bit corrupted.
When I try to open them in regedit I get an error that "System cannot find specified file". I ran several "registry repair" tools but none of them solved the problem.
What shall I do?

Hi, unfortunately all system restore points has been deleted. It's mystery why, probably Vista itself deleted them because I was running out of free space lately.

Re: Corrupted registry

Doesn't sound like you've left yourself many options. Running registry
repair tools probably made things worse, not better. You need to restore a
registry backup, and in Vista this is only done through the use of System
Restore.

The blackout probably is the cause, not the uninstall routine, the sudden
loss of power during a system critical event can cause all sorts of damage
to system files. This is why it is highly recommended that systems be placed
on a UPS with battery backup to allow for a controlled shutdown when power
goes out.

Your only solution at this point may be to start with a clean installation.
