| | Shockwave (.swf) websites don't open Any website that has .swf as it's extension, doesn't open in Vista. Same sites open in XP, using same settings in security, and Internet Options, also same firewall and settings and antivirus software on both. When trying to open in Vista all I get is a blank page with an "Error on page" message at bottom of IE7 window. Running both systems side-by-side and comparing each one's settings, the only difference is a set of Java settings in the Security Settings in Internet Options, on the XP. I have cleaned out the Shockwave and Flash players with instructions on how, from the Adobe website, then reinstalled both on the Vista system. Both systems are plugged directly into the DSL modem, one at a time when in use. No Router is used. This is the first time I have noticed this problem, but am not sure if it wasn't already there a year ago when I got the Vista system. Is this a Vista problem only? Is there a fix for it? I'm Frustrated! |
