notification area

The network, power and sound system icons have disapeared from the
notification area ad I can't get them back. The notification tab in the
taskbar area has these options greyed out so I cannot do it from there. I
could find find an opton in the control panel section for any of them either.

Hi JHC,

This will show you how to enable them again so that they are not grayed out anymore and allow you to turn them back on.

Your welcome JHC. It can be from anything almost, but usually from a 3rd party tweak program, driver problem, a setting in the program that the icon is for, corruption, Virus or some other malware, etc....

I treat the Notification icons like the temp folder and other caches, and clear them out every so often to keep them clean and current.

RE: notification area

log out and log back in. that'll fix it. the system is too busy loading all
the bloat to handle the message to create the icons.
