| | Customize notification icons settings lost after a few hours. Hi, I have a feeling I am customizing notification icons several times a day. A couple of hours after I have done it an icon which I have set to "always show" is gone, and when I check it's set back to "Hide when inactive". It's never the other way around, it's always the "always show" setting which gets lost. Does anyone here know why this happens? -- //ceed |

Notification Icons - Reset I know duh, you most likely have, but did you click OK after you changed it to "Always Show" to apply the change? Notification Icons - Customize Shawn |

| | RE: Customize notification icons settings lost after a few hours. Can you be more specific on which apps are doing this? Is all of them or is it a specific application in the bar? For instance, some applications "refresh" in the notification area and Vista seems to see this as a new application and setting the view to default. A specific example is some security software like Norton, the icon will "refresh" and reset to hide when inactive.
