Vista Keeps Losing Wireless WEP 128 bit Encryption Key

I have a Linksys wireless n router and have 2 notebooks (XP) and one
notebook (vista), all of which use wireless connections to the router. I use
128 bit WEP encryption and the 2 XP notebooks have ZERO problem. However,
the Vista notebook keeps losing the encryption key and thus loses wireless
connection. If I re-enter the key, the wireless connection works but some
time later, the same problem happens again. What is going on? Thanks.

Check to see if you have a latest Network Adaptor driver

Also, check to see if there is vista compatible updated firmware for your
router.

In addition to what Mick said. WEP isn't secure anymore. I'd advise using
WPA.

Re: Vista Keeps Losing Wireless WEP 128 bit Encryption Key

Have you got your ssid broadcasting?if not you could try turning that
on..Saying that, the advice you have been given so far drivers f/ware etc.
are also considerations, for myself I would 1st turn the ssid on with vista
to see if this works.
