| | Looking for an answer to why I cannot get any display images onto Hi all, I have a month old laptop, which was working fine; I downloaded MSN messenger and it worked fine. EVERYTHING about it! then after a start up, I think I added an upgrade recommended by vista....Then I could not add any images to my msn messenger, not a one. It states that the image is not, um, the right kind. I have since uninstalled and reinstalled the messenger 3 times, and now it is uninstalled so I cant tell you the proper error message. But I know the images are fine. I have also found that my search feature is not working either. Isn't it supposed to immediately be seeking as I type? I believe it did. This is the first computer I have had with vista. Thanks for reading. I have found a wealth of knowledge here and after 2 days of searching the help menus and the internet for answers, I have finally decided to choose a blog group to seek help. I would appreciate any leads. ~Godspeed, Jaymes |

| | Re: Looking for an answer to why I cannot get any display images onto Assuming you mean "update" not "upgrade". Uninstall the updates. If this solves your problem reinstall the updates one by one until you find the culprit. | | Re: Looking for an answer to why I cannot get any display images o Thanks Bob, I should have tried to be more specific. It was an update. I will try, If I havent already, to uninstall and reinstall the upgrade. Do you really think that could be the problem? It "seemed" to run and work perfectly. If that doesnt work, what next? At the moment there doesnt show any needed updates. So what then? I have looked through pages of vista troubles, looking for something similiar. I found a page with many "hotfixes" is that where I should look. "Bob" wrote: Quote: > Assuming you mean "update" not "upgrade". > Uninstall the updates.
