Opening Vista-saved files in Non-Vista computers

I have Vista on my Computer, and I have a movie maker project that I'm doing.
I saved it on my Vista-using computer, but I can't open it on my
older-than-Vista computers. Is there a way to format the Vista-using file so
it can open on NotVista computers?

If you have an XP machine that should work for Movie Maker...
otherwise there are plenty of 3rd party applications out there for
    converting video types
