| | Will vista take video card memory from games? When you start a game full screen. Will the game have all available memory. So for example you have a 256mb card. When running a game will the game have all 256mb of ram. Or will the desktop since it uses 3D be using a portion of that 256mb of ram |

| | Re: Will vista take video card memory from games? Yes, the game will have all VRAM available to it. When another application wants to use the video card, Aero shuts off. | | Re: Will vista take video card memory from games? Essentially yeh. Windows will recognise that certain desktop features won't be needed or used, so it'll take away the Glass (essentially, bit more in-depth than that) and depending on your driver settings (in Device Manager) and the game settings, it should take full advantage of your card )Even if it doesn't right now (depending on the build of Vista you have), it should do by the end product. -- Zack Whittaker » ZackNET Enterprises: www.zacknet.co.uk » MSBlog on ResDev: www.msblog.org » Vista Knowledge Base: www.vistabase.co.uk » This mailing is provided "as is" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
