Relocating all User Data Files

In all legacy systems, there used to be a 'My Documents' folder which
contained all types of user generated files. In Vista, I presume it is the
\users\myname folder.

So how can I move this entire folder (i.e. Documents, Links, Music, Pictures
et al) to a different drive location other than my boot drive?

I tried moving the Documents folder alone (by right-clicking Properties |
Move etc), but now find that Outlook PST files are still being written to
the old location (C:\users\myname etc).

So how can I ensure that everything is moved to a new location?

Easiest way I have found is to click START right click DOCUMENTS, PICTUES,
ETC: select PROPERTIES then in the LOCATION tab you can MOVE the folder.

If there is an easier way please post it.

Hope this helps

Years ago, I created a ProgData folder on my data drive and pointed all my
program data saves to individual program data folders.

Re: Relocating all User Data Files

by changing the location folder as DAVE suggested is the correct way to do
this.
I just did ALL my personal files this way today...

If outlook insists on writing to the old location you will have to move the
PST and tell outlook to use the new location
(from within the outlook settings)

I had 2-3 programs that also remembered the old locations..

aso a tip.. RESTART after changing the locations!!!
