Vista - 64 bit

Hi there, just a question. I just bought a PNY GeForce 8500 GT video card
and it comes with 32 bit and 64 bit drivers. When I try to install the 64 bit
drivers it says my system is not 64 bit. I am currently running a Windows
Vista Premium that is 64 bit and my cpu is a 64 bit cpu. What else does my
system need to be able to install the 64 bit drivers for the video card?

Hi,

Click start and type "control system" and hit <enter>. What type of system
does the 'system type' line state? Just because you have a 64-bit processor
does not necessarily mean you have a 64-bit installation.

Hi,

You could contact the manufacturer to see if they can make the 64-bit set
available to you, but be aware that most current software is 32-bit, and
switching to x64 will gain you little if anything in the way of performance.
In fact, if the proper drivers are not available you could actually lose
some functionality.

At least now you know why the 64 bit driver package won't install.
