Connection Problems?

I have downloaded a few programs (Full Tilt Poker, Bear Share, even iTunes)
and when I try to open them they'll say 'unable to connect. check your
internet connection.'

But my internet connection is fine - I can search the web and all that...it
just doesn't seem sufficient to open these programs....I can't figure it out?

It may simply mean that you aren't connected to the Internet at the time
that you start the program, which you can resolve by connecting to the
Internet prior to opening them.

If it also occurs even when you are connected, then something may be blocking
them from connecting eg firewall software etc ,so you could check your
settings within such programs if that applies.

Re: Connection Problems?

Assuming you already have cookies enabled, you could add the sites to the
"trusted zone", although personally I would not add Apple, a P2P site or a
poker site to the trusted zone.
Actually, I would not expose my PC to a P2P site at all. You should read
