I did a clean install of Vista Beta 2 on a motherboard with an Intel 945G
Express chipset. During the install it recognized the integrated Intel GMA
950 video hardware. The Intel Lakeport driver that is included with Vista
Beta 2 was installed automatically. And it supports the Vista Aero Glass
UI.
When you say that you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the video card I
assume you mean the driver (since there is no discrete video card). The
driver will never install correctly until the hardware shows up without
the yellow exclamation mark in device manager.
I'm guessing you did an upgrade install over XP on the Dell. That may be
your problem. Try wiping the hard drive and doing a clean install. At this
point in the Vista beta an upgrade install is problematic.
