Vista Tutorial - internet explorer icon

i am running window vista ... i would like to ask how can i have the original
internet explorer icon on my desktop instead of the shortcut one of internet
explorer?? hope someone could help me .

Hi allure,

First of all, the icon is not on the desktop by default. To place it there,
minimise all open programs and click on the start orb. At the top on the left
hand side of the start menu you should see the Internet shortcut. Left click
on it and drag it to the desktop. Right click on the shortcut and select
'Change Icon'. This brings up a list of icons associated with this program.
Change the icon to whatever you want. Alternatively, you can click
'Browse...' and search for different icons should you wish. Note that this
only affects the icon on the desktop.
