PDFs will not open

How can I get PDF files to open in Vista? I have Adobe 8.0 yet when I try
and open PDF files from the web they will not open. How do I get past this?

Make sure the Adobe Reader ActiveX is not disabled:

IE7: Tools > Internet Options > Programs tab > Manage add-ons

Also make sure Adobe Reader is set to be the default program for opening
..pdf files:

Control Panel > Programs > Default Programs

Re: PDFs will not open

When trying to open a pdf file I get a message that says this program has
known compatibility problems. It prompt me to update but when I click run
the program I am able to open the files. Should I click on the update
feature?
Thanks

Re: PDFs will not open

Use Foxit, does the same thing as Adobe with a lot less resources and
doesn't install install an updater that runs at startup.

I am guessing you get this message from Adobe Reader, and I suggest you
follow it's advice. Upgrade to version 8.1, it works with Vista.
