| Guest | Vista returns to login screen if there is no keyboard activity Has anyone had problems with Vista SP1 RC1 and the following. I haven't installed anything over the last few days, but my ACER 9300 (preloaded with Vista) has started acting up. After booting up and logging in everything is ok as long as I keep typing. If I stop typing or moving the mouse for about a minute, the screen blinks back to the sign in screen and I have to log back in. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas I would be greatly appreciative. |

Is it possible your computer is entering "sleep" mode after so short a time? The machine can be configured to ask for a password when recovering from sleep, which sort of fits your description. I'd try killing all "sleep" and "hibernation" modes as a test. Good luck. Bill |
