| Guest | Monitor doesn't power off Hi everyone, as the subject says, I have a problem with my computer: the display doesn't turn off after the configured time set in the active power plan. The screensaver works fine, so it's not that (for example) a mouse is giving random input. Also, when I shut down the computer, the display jumps to powersaving, so the display works fine. I've already tried a lot of things to solve it and I hope that someone can help because I don't know what to do know.... ![]() Things I've tried: - Set a different time in the power plan, set time time to disabled and enabled again. - Disable all wakeon devices by using powercfg - Install a generic monitor driver instead of the Samsun 204B one. - Use the secondary DVI port - Update to the latest Nvidia drivers for my 7600GT - Run Vista with all programs disabled (both tried msconfig and safemode) - Use the latest BIOS for my motherboard (S3 mode is set to enabled according to powercfg). - Installed the latest Intel INF files - Create a new power plan - Tried a different screensaver So what can I try now? thanks! -- Peekstra Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com |

| Guest | Re: Monitor doesn't power off Hi Mark, the BIOS is configured to use S3 mode, and there are no monitor related settings (gigabyte ds3). However, I think that these settings are only relevant in sleep mode. thanks. -- Peekstra Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com |
