| | Changing appearance of Vista Aero? I have opened the "Personalize" window of Vista and selected "Window Color and Appearance". I then open "classic appearance properties...." for more color options and click "advanced" where I change the colors, fonts and sizes for all of the "Items". After backing out and clicking "apply" none of the changes are visible. It appears that the only changes I can make are slight modifications to the 8 preselected colors on the Color and Appearance" page. Can someone tell me if its possible to set up and save a "theme" in vista as I did in XP, and still retain the Vista functions of transparent windows, switch between windows (windows+tab keys) etc.? If so, how? I've tried using the theme I set up in XP (copied the theme file into Vista), but I then loose the transparent windows etc., and i can't find anyplace where I can modify the the theme that pops up when I click on" Theme" in the "Personalize" page. Sorry this is so long, but I wanted to prevent answers that covered what I'd already tried. :-) -- Quote: Quote: Quote: >>>>>>>>>> jetjock <<<<<<<<<< |

| | Re: Changing appearance of Vista Aero? Jetjock As you have seen, most of the color options in the classic/advanced options aren't available with the Aero Theme. You would need to go to a third party product to get what you are looking for. On the other hand, you can get some fairly dramatic effects just using the Color Intensity/Color Mixer with Aero. -- Ronnie Vernon Microsoft MVP Windows Desktop Experience "jetjock" <jetjock@xxxxxx> wrote in message news j0sq31a5r7tdqae3dbkkbdr11uuf7ck1p@xxxxxxQuote: >I have opened the "Personalize" window of Vista and selected "Window > Color and Appearance".
