Windows Feedback Program

I registered for the Windows Feedback Program a while ago back when I was
eligible to receive a free product from Microsoft. now just a few days ago I
got an email from them saying that I meet all of the requirements for
receiving the free product from them. now that I meet all of the
requirements to receive the free product, how long will it take to get it
from them?

From,
Steven Wabik

Re: Windows Feedback Program

You'd need to ask them this question. We don't have any way of knowing.

How long is a piece of string? Why not ask them?

Re: Windows Feedback Program

What feedback program?
What free product?

This newsgroup is not regularly monitored by Microsoft employees, so you
need to give us some details.

Have you tried responding to the email for information? Are you positive
that this isn't a scam?

Re: Windows Feedback Program

As soon as you complete the requirements, which is running it for 3 months.
They sent me the same, which is basically a status update letting you know
if you are meeting the requirements (sending data on a regular basis), or
not. It's basically a midpoint update, I guess.

Re: Windows Feedback Program

This one: http://wfp.microsoft.com/

It opened and closed in a few hours the first time, then they opened it
again and it closed shortly after. It's gotten a lot of complaints from
people that say they don't want to be spied on by Microsoft, but that's what
the program is about. I have nothing to hide, so I signed up.

Re: Windows Feedback Program

at least someone knows what i'm talking about. it said nothing about a
midpoint. its been a little less than three months so i guess it just may be
and besides i did not even have the utility installed on my notebook the
whole time...lol i was in the process of getting a new one. i had the
utility on my zd8000. then when i upgraded to a tx1000z tablet i never had
the utility on there. i was so disapinted in that notebook i returned it
after a few weeks and got my current tablet pc a tc4400. at least i put the
utility on this notebook after a while. i think i almost forgot about the
program when i got the tx1000z. it made me hate vista because of all of its
issues...lol

i tested the beta version of vista on my zd8000 back when i had that
notebook and the beta versions seemed to have worked better. hopefully Vista
service pack 1 will fix many issues that i ran into while using vista on the
tx1000z. either that or i'm stcking with XP untill i'm forced to upgrade.
either that or i will do a dual boot.

Re: Windows Feedback Program

As long as the utility sends back data at regular intervals you should be
fine. Not sure when those are, though. But, good news is that it also runs
on Windows XP.

i'm just wondering, but what product did you ask for when you registered for
the program.
