| | Windows Logo screensaver On my new laptop (running Vista Home Premium) I notice that the Windows Logo screensaver behaves in the "normal" way when running from the mains (i.e. the Vista logo fades in, fades out, the "tick" fades in and then fades out, the whole then repeats). But when running on battery the windows logo appears instantly (without the fading effects and without the "tick") the logo then jumps around the screen. I much prefer this latter display and wonder if it is possible to have this display on both mains and battery operation. It would also be nice to have this on my main desktop machine running Vista Ultimate. Any ideas? -- Walter |

| | Re: Windows Logo screensaver Hi Walter, The change probably occurs because the screen is in a conserve power mode when on battery. This limits the actions of the screensaver to conserve power by redrawing the screen fewer times. I don't know that you can effect this change in full power mode, it's a function of a combination of the display adapter, power mode, and moniter driver files. -- Best of Luck, Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/ Windows help - www.rickrogers.org My thoughts http://rick-mvp.blogspot.com "Walter Docherty" <walter@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:uWA%230Z8aIHA.4712@xxxxxx Quote: > On my new laptop (running Vista Home Premium) I notice that the Windows > Logo screensaver behaves in the "normal" way when running from the mains > (i.e. the Vista logo fades in, fades out, the "tick" fades in and then > fades out, the whole then repeats).
