| | RE: aero feature in vista If you have Vista Basic, it doesn't have Aero. I have it and turned it off. I found the smoky transparent windows to be annoying. "juz" wrote: Quote: > how can we turn on aero feature in vista? |

Premium or above, open your control panel, and double click on system. Under system, you will see rating. That has to be 3.0 or above to run Aero Glass. If it says your system rating not available, click on that, and it will take you to Performance Information and Tools. Down to the right you will see a link that says "Update my score". When you run that, it will pop a dialogue box that says it's rating your system. After it finishes, it will give your score. As I stated before if it is below 3.0, you will be stuck with basic. | Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: aero feature in vista Hi juz, This will show you how as long as you meet the requirements for Windows Aero and do not have the Vista Home Basic version. Color Scheme Shawn P.S. Hi DarkSentinel, I have a 2.4, due to onboard graphics chip, but I can run Aero without any problems. I believe as long as you meet the hardware requirements above, you should be able to run it. Grant it, it may slow things way down if you barely meet them. |

Yes, I'm talking about having transparency in all the right places, etc. Where did you get that information? Brian P.S. My one-year-old notebook and five-year-old desktop PCs run Vista Ultimate 64 and Vista Business 32 very, very well, even with those low "scores." I don't think too much emphasis should be placed on the Experience Index. |

In reading further down, the site DOES contradict itself however. The table says it's not supposed to, but the detailed description of the scores it says it is possible. Go figure...:/ So if your system is running it with less than 3, my bad. Even the best of us make mistakes... ![]() -- Sanity calms, but madness is more interesting. http://www.lockergnome.com/darksentinel Undo the munge to reply by email Quote: > > "Brian Bradley" <brian[hyphen]bradley@xxxxxx> wrote in message > news:ez1K0kgbIHA.3472@xxxxxx Quote: >> >> "DarkSentinel" <darkmungesentinel@xxxxxx> wrote in >> message news:8C4F6EC6-BF26-44C4-B235-0A382C32B1A7@xxxxxx Quote: >>> "juz" <juz@xxxxxx> wrote in message >>> news:088B4EE1-D259-4D1D-82BB-32A8554E4336@xxxxxx >>>> how can we turn on aero feature in vista? >>> >>> Which version do you have?
