| Guest | Dual booting Vista SP1 and XP SP2 FYI: There have been some comments that SP1 would prevent XP's deletion of Vista's restore points. Not true, they are deleted. Perhaps XP's SP3 will prevent it. |

Lee: Actually, I find XP's ability to delete Vista's restore points useful. Vista ignores my max setting for disk space to be used for restore points (as did XP). And, Disk Cleanup does not always free a significant amount of the disk space used by the restore points. So, a quick boot into XP solves the problem. |

Assuming that the only resolution is to hide the Vista partition from XP this could have major consequences for some (e.g. what if XP is currently set to share document folders currently held on the Vista partition?). |
