Jupiter.. remember when you called Torrent "unreliable" a thing of Pirates, viruses and corrupt files? Well read this: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12694081/ As I said... there will be a time when MS itself chooses torrent to distribute contenet. Its only a matter of time. - K |

Hi, I cannot open the clip as I am at work, but I have just read this news article, interesting stuff http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/4753435.stm its new news to me. | | Re: OT Ping: Jupiter Jones, and others... Are there legal implications? From reading the FAQ it seems one only gets involved with the specific files one wants to. One's harddrive doesn't become a repository for, say copyrighted material obtained w/o permission. Or that's how I read the FAQ. I've heard about how in the States one can get less jail time for walking into a bar and clubing, kicking and beating someone into a coma than if one uploads a movie [follow the money for "justice"]. Here, although to download anything - so far - is A-OK, uploading copyrighted material w/o permission might be illegal yet. So are there risks involved with this software, even if one uses it "legitmately" as per the "authorities"? Thanks John Jay Smith wrote: | Ah..... | | Re: OT Ping: Jupiter Jones, and others... well if you download a linux distro you can be sure that you wont be in trouble... if you download the spiderman 3 movie that has just been released on dvd, I am sure you can understand that it is not allowed... :-) indeed one must be educated. Good point.. I will set up a page for newcomers, to explain and give some pointers...
